Who we are
MyanmarTrails is a travel discovery and itinerary planning prototype focused on Myanmar destinations. It is informational — not a booking platform or travel agency.
What we collect today
We do not run user accounts or a backend database in this version. When you use the site, data is stored locally in your browser (see Cookies & storage).
That local data may include:
- Travel preferences (budget, style, activities, crowd comfort)
- Saved place IDs
- Trip length and stop order
- Optional “Was this match helpful?” feedback per place
Shareable itinerary links encode trip stops in the URL. Anyone with the link can see those stops — treat shared URLs like you would any shared document.
What we do not do (yet)
- Sell personal data
- Run advertising profiles from your saved places
- Require sign-in or payment for basic planning
Server logs & analytics
If this site is hosted on a standard platform (e.g. Vercel), the host may collect basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and performance. We have not enabled third-party marketing analytics in the prototype.
Your choices
- Clear site data in your browser to remove stored preferences, saves, and trips.
- Do not share itinerary URLs if you want stops to stay private.
- Use private browsing if you are on a shared device.
Children
MyanmarTrails is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes & contact
When we add accounts, APIs, or booking partners, this policy will be updated. For questions about this prototype, use your project contact channel (replace with a real support email before production).
